37.6 minutes.

Weirdly, albums less than 40 minutes long get referred to these days as ‘mini-albums’. Why? In the Good Old Days albums over 45 minutes in length were DOUBLES! And often a waste of space. Who listens to that much music in one go? Not me: poached eggs don’t poach themselves, and Bargain Hunt will be on the telly soon. I’m a busy man.

And it stands to reason - if your album is 35 minutes long instead of 70 that’s half the studio time, half the writing time, half the session fees, half the carbon footprint or whatever it is young people concern themselves with these days. Save time, save money, keep it snappy.
